I am often asked how I can listen to people’s problems all day. Well, I look at it differently. For me, working with clients is about the positive change that happens in people and in their lives during the course of the treatment. This is what I find most interesting and rewarding and what I like most about my profession.
I am a clinical psychologist and I have worked in the UK mental health since the 1990s in a variety of settings including, in-patients and outpatients mental health, pain management clinic, GP practices, research settings and in private practice.
In addition to my qualifications as a clinical psychologist I also have postgraduate qualifications in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Clinical Hypnotherapy and NLP and psychological research. I also have qualifications in using Energy Psychology (EP) techniques.
As a clinical psychologist I have been professionally trained in all major psychological treatment methods and forms of assessment but having additional postgraduate qualifications in other treatment approaches not taught at the clinical course such as EMDR, clinical hypnotherapy and energy psychology gives me a definite advantage in obtaining success in therapy.
Although as a clinical psychologist I have been trained in CBT, having an additional postgraduate training focused only on mastering the knowledge and experience in working with cognitive-behavioural approach ensures that I offer this type of treatment to the best professional standard.
I have in-depth knowledge and experience in assessment, diagnosis and provision of treatment to clients suffering from a variety of emotional and behavioural problems, including:
I also offer help in the area of personal achievement.
I have particular expertise in working with clients suffering from personal injuries resulting from traumatic events, including road traffic accidents, accidents at work, industrial accidents, medical negligence, animal attacks, physical and sexual assaults, and robberies. Most of such clients in addition to suffering from trauma, anxiety disorders and depression also suffer from chronic pain.
Treatment of chronic pain is a specialised field and I have worked with people suffering from chronic pain since 2000. I have gained an expertise in making assessments and providing treatment for patients suffering from chronic pain while working at INPUT Pain Management Clinic at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London, one of the leading pain management clinics in the country. Along with other professionals I taught patients how to manage their pain which was based on the most modern approaches to pain and disability.
After I moved to my private practice on a full-time basis I continued to work with individual clients. Over the years I have learn various techniques for pain reduction, which in most cases have been very successful.
In my clinical practice I use the most effective, scientifically proven, psychological techniques and approaches to obtain the best results. I treat each client individually and give my full commitment to help clients achieve what they want. I can also offer group treatment depending on clients’ preference.
I am committed to continuing professional development and attend various seminars and conferences to learn the newest and most effective treatment approaches.
I offer professional, confidential services and I subscribe to the HCPC and the BPS Code of Conduct.
I receive referrals from individual clients, solicitors and insurance agencies.
I provide treatment in English and in Polish.
